Many have voiced concern and interest in the global refugee crisis that is affecting millions of men, women and children, and impacting many European countries. To help us understand the multiple issues and complexities, we will be hosting a 3 week series on Wednesday evenings, July 13, 20 and 27 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Snacks will be provided.
On July 13, Fawn Parish will be presenting a historical and biblical context for the refugee crisis. Fawn Parish, is the founder of Reinbridge, director of the International School of Reconciliation Studies…seeking to heal wounds around the works in a biblical way (www.reconcile.org), and author of several books. She also produced the documentary on Mama Shekinah which is now in 6 languages and has been shown on TV in 6 countries. It is available through Amazon on Demand and Parables network. This is an amazing story of god’s love, mercy and transformation.
On July 20, Jan Denharder will share his experience with refugees while he ministered in Europe this past spring. Jan is a trainer of teachers, leaders, and pastors throughout the world.
On July 27, we will explore ways that we might choose to be involved individually, as a small group, or as a congregation. We will have materials from several Christ centered organizations available for us to look out. We will also take time to pray together for the refugees.
We look forward to your attending any or all of these 3 sessions. Feel very free to invite your friends and neighbors.
