Women of Orchard Community Church grow in faith and friendship through various ministries on and off campus groups and activities. We offer several small groups for women and moms of all ages. The goal is to have a place with support and encouragement through the ups and downs of everyday life.
Whether you’ve thought much about it or have tried to ignore it, there is an invisible war raging around us. The enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you – your emotions, your mind, your family, and your future.
BUT, Ephesians 6:10 calls us to “Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might!” We have a God that prepares and equips us to be victorious against the enemy, and this fall’s study will help us develop our strategy to do so.
Join us as we work through Priscilla Shirer’s challenging and thought- and action-provoking study “The Armor of God”. Throughout the fall, we will meet to pray, worship, and learn together so that we can take advantage of our position in Christ to experience the tangible, long-term effects of victory over the enemy in practical, everyday living.
Both Tuesday night (7 pm in the Library) and Wednesday morning (9:30 am in the Worship Building) groups will be doing this study, starting September 5 and 6. Look out for a table on the patio to sign up and get your book ($20 each) this summer or contact Deya Jacob (email@example.com) for more information!
Prayer Quilting Meetings
Join us in making and praying over quilts (and knitted or crocheted blankets, as we get them from our needle-crafting friends) for those in our community who are celebrating new babies, dealing with illness, moving into assisted living, or who might otherwise need a reminder that they are loved and are being prayed for. Next work day will be Sept. 23, from 9 am – 1 pm in the Orchard Library.
