Women of Orchard Community Church grow in faith and friendship through various ministries, groups, and activities both on and off-campus. We offer several small groups for women of all ages and stages of life. Women’s Spring Luncheon
April 14 at 11:30 am
For girls and women of all ages! A potluck lunch and a Covenant Players program!
Lunch will start at 11:30 am and all who are able please bring a dish to serve 8-10 people. Wear your best spring hat or fascinator to be entered into a contest to win a prize! If you’re interested in hosting a table, talk to Hollie Archer or Deya Jacob.
A short program will be presented by Covenant Players. Founded in 1963, Covenant Players is a ministry that is committed to present the Gospel message through drama to Christians, as well as those who have not yet come to know Christ. Working in teams of three or four, Covenant Players have performed plays on six continents and in a myriad of languages. The vision of Covenant Players, as expressed by its founder and playwright Charles M. Tanner, is to turn the world “upside-right” for Christ. To that end, Chuck wrote over 2,000 plays (ranging from a few seconds to three acts) in order that teams can present a program tailored to the audience they are serving. Prepare to have your funny bone tickled, your mind and spirit engaged, and your faith challenged and uplifted.
Childcare will be provided but ages 10 and up are welcome to stay for the program. This is a free event, but please sign up on the patio starting in mid-March so we know how many to plan on. A free-will offering will be taken for Covenant Players. Please contact Deya Jacob at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. We hope to see you there!
Women’s Bible Study
Join us in making and praying over quilts (and knitted or crocheted blankets, as we get them from our needle-crafting friends) for those in our community who are celebrating new babies, dealing with illness, moving into assisted living, or who might otherwise need a reminder that they are loved and are being prayed for. Contact Deya at email@example.com or the church office for more information!
