Sunday Classes at Orchard
A variety of Sunday classes are offered throughout the year for all ages. Sunday classes are a great place to make friendships while digging deeper in your faith – no matter how new or old your faith is!
Children’s Sunday Morning Programs
Pre K – K meet in room 3.
We use the Orange First Look curriculum. The entire curriculum is constructed to meet your preschoolers where they are cognitively, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially. Through age appropriate activities, preschoolers are building their spiritual foundation so that by the time they graduate to Kindergarten they know these three basic truths.
God Made Me
God Loves Me
Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever
1st – 3rd – 5th grade meet in Room 5.
We use the Orange 252 Basics curriculum, and everything we teach is based on one of three basic, but powerful, truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52. The curriculum is designed to provoke discovery and invite kids into a new understanding of how to grow in relationship with Jesus.
I need to make the wise choice.
I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Children preschool to 5th grade worship with their families for the first 15-20 minutes of the service. After a time of singing, prayer and a Children’s Message, kids will be dismissed to our children’s program. See above for more information about the curriculum used. After church, pick up Preschooler to Kindergarten grade in room #3 and 1st – 5th graders in room #5.
On the first Sunday of every month, 3rd to 5th graders are encouraged to stay in worship with their parent(s). Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month. For more information on what it means for your child to take communion, see: Children and Communion.Children on Sunday Morning

The Story of Jesus – Look A Little Closer
January – April
As you walk out of church after listening to a sermon, have you ever thought —
- I really need to remember a couple of things from that message?
- I ought to start doing something about what I just heard?
- I’ve got a few questions now I’d like to get answered?
- It would be good to talk to someone about some parts of that scripture passage?
- It would be good to get to know a few of these people better?
- I sure hope nobody asks me what I learned in church today because I’m kind of awkward talking about this kind of stuff?
- I’m just going to keep my head down and make a beeline for my car so I can get out of here ASAP?
If you answered “Yes” or “Kind of” or “Maybe”, and if you attend the 9:00 Worship Service, then drop by the Message Discussion group after church, for an informal time of exploring a bit more of The Story of Jesus. Plus, it’s a great way to make a new friend or two, or enrich a few existing friendships.
