WHAT HAPPENS ON SUNDAY THE ORCHARD COMMUNITY WELCOME
Grow where you are planted _ seeking to grow and prosper together

Encounter Scripture Regularly

Grow Where You Are Planted!

Small groups are one of our main goals as a church this year. We hope to provide ways for you to grow and prosper TOGETHER! This goal is comprised of 3 parts:

  1. Encounter Scripture Regularly
  2. Invest in Relationships
  3. Serve

Get connected!

Below you will find many options to get plugged in and stay connected!

All of the following small groups are open for you to join whenever you are available.
Most are low commitment groups with no homework and each meeting is a stand-alone study, so don’t worry if you can’t make it each time.

Those that meet via Zoom, you can use your computer, laptop, tablet, or phone. Zoom works with audio and video, or just audio alone – your choice!

Invest In Relationships

Small groups are a big deal!

A small group helps you grow by connecting with others, studying the Bible, and praying together.

Not sure what small group is just right for you? Contact Jo Schultze (joanna.l.schulze@gmail.com) or Richard Smith (r_smith122@hotmail.com) for more information about new small groups in the works! Or contact the Host listed below for more information about the individual group.

Serve!

Find a group that is just right for you!

Here is a current list of groups open for new members!

*NEW*Body-building 101

We as a church are made to be a community, but establishing those relationships can be difficult. We experience the difficulty of life on our own, especially recently, but don’t know where to turn.  Small groups are an ideal way to safely build relationships, study the Bible, and help each other. Join our Zoom meeting either Monday, May 10th, or Saturday, May 15th from 6:30 pm-7:30 pm to learn more about what a 6-week small group can offer you.

New women welcome at any time!

Winter/Spring 2021
From Garden to Glory
By Courtney Doctor

This wonderful study will take us on a journey from Genesis to Revelation. It will weave together the whole of God’s story including theological concepts that help us gain a deeper understanding of the Bible and our Lord Jesus Christ.

This study is for lifelong students of scripture, new believers and those of us who are new to bible study. We would love to have you join us as we study and fellowship together. Most groups will be meeting through zoom for the foreseeable future and have found this to be very successful.
Study Begins
Tuesdays at 7:00 pm
Wednesdays at 10:00 am

Please contact Linda Young for questions and registration Lyoung5380@aol.com

We are requesting that you order your own book, which you can do so on Amazon or via your favorite local or Christian bookstore.

New Summer Group forming!

Intro to Women’s Small Group Bible Study

LuAnn SmithWomen’s ministries is opening up a new Bible study this summer for women who are new to small group Bible studies or a little rusty. Perhaps the thought of a Bible study or a small group or both is intimidating. Or maybe you haven’t looked at the Bible with others since Sunday school days. Possibly you’ve seen the women’s Bible studies offered every year, but weren’t sure how you would fit in. This could be a perfect fit for you. Facilitated by LuAnn Smith, we’ll meet weekly this summer to get a flavor of various books of the Bible. There will be no homework. Since kids will be home, we will plan a time and place to make this work for all who are interested. Email LuAnn at luannksmith@gmail.com or text. (805) 766-6223 with questions or interest.

Mom’s Life

Melinda Hoyt - Children's Ministry Director

We meet Sundays from 4-5:30 in the lower parking lot (perfect if you have kids to drop off at Youth Group!). Bring your own chair, Bible, beverage, and blanket. We are currently walking through 1 Thessalonians together.

Open to all moms with kids of all ages.

Email Melinda Hoyt for more information at Melinda@OrchardVentura.org

Parents Life

Sundays at 9 am

Open to parents with kids of all ages and in all stages.
Parent Life digs into the Bible as our guide for raising children, building strong families, & living life. We support each other by sharing experiences and prayer, as we lower the facades that hinder God’s work in us. You’ll be excited to see how the Bible relates to life, see how other parents go through the same struggles you do, and experience the hope we have in Christ. Currently meeting via Zoom.
