Summer Education Series

Biblical Understanding of Immigration

July 10, 17, & 24 |   6:30 - 8:30 PM

Orchard Library

Join pastor, author, and international reconciler Fawn Parish as we look at how we got here, where we are now, and how we walk into the future. To attempt to accomplish this, we will look at and discover a biblical response to immigration, what God has to say, what makes immigration so polarizing, how we can be peacemakers in response, and what it is that God expects of us as we explore immigration and the scriptures.

  1. Expand the borders of your heart and mind as we discover a Biblical response to immigration.
  2. Feeling Torn between compassion and capacity? Come explore what God has to say about immigration.
  3. Why is immigration such a polarizing issue? Can we become peacemakers in response?
  4. What in the world does God expect of us? An exploration of Immigration and Scripture.

This three-week series on Immigration will explore

  1. How did we get here?
  2. Where are we now?
  3. How do we walk into the future together?

Ramazan and Karen, along with their two sons Joshua and Levi, are serving the Evangelical Churches in Antalya, Turkey. Their churches and ministries prioritize boldly proclaiming the truth of the gospel in a country that is more than 98% Muslim. They are committed to establishing physical and open places of worship to combat the suspicion that often surrounds the Christian church in a Muslim country. In addition to evangelistic outreach, the churches offer opportunities for discipleship, growth, fellowship, and even theological education classes for believers. Antalya Evangelical Church is one church that meets in three different locations in Antalya, a city of over 2 million people.

Ramazan Arkan and Antalya Evangelical Church have offered short-term ministry opportunities to Impact teams, which have included members from Orchard Community Church. The ministry opportunities for teams have included Children's ministry, home visitations, teaching English, outreach activities, and empowering and encouraging believers in Antalya.
